The walk around the lake is great with several benches to rest if you are not an experienced hiker. The view is beautiful and left much to nature.

This is what camping is supposed to be. Beautiful scenery, great swimming area, nice cool shaded campsites, clean bath houses. We had a great time.

This is the type of campground to just go and relax. Other places to see and visit are not too far away. However, we just enjoy the beauty of nature and the peace and quite. The 3 1/2 mile loop around the lake makes for a great way to take in nature and get some exercise. You can truly get away from it all being as cell phone service is unavailable. The camp sites are not on top of each other. The campground is well maintained. We have camped at Sherwood since about 2001.

This campsite is amazing -- you are right on one of the most beautiful lakes you can imagine, and a short walk from a swimming beach and boat rentals. It is very isolated, and you won't get any cell service, but if both of those are good things for you, then this is the place to be.

We have enjoyed using the group site for many years. It is a lovely site close to the lake. We wish it had showers.

We love camping at Sherwood because the sites are large, the vegetation provides privacy, and the restrooms are clean. Even the less popular sites are nicer than what is found at other state or federal campgrounds. The lake is beautiful and the trails are well-maintained.
