Sherwood Lake is one of my favorite happy places that I’ve been going to since before I was born. We love the way the sites are set up and always try for a site on the lake. Since they were able to remove the Lilly pads the last couple of years, we’ve actually been able to fish from the banks. So to that said, the facilities are definitely showing the lack of funding. Had it not been for our amazing camp hosts we would not have had a shower or sewer. Apparently the rumor is, if it breaks just rope it off. I will hate to see this wonderful place go down hill. I really hope something happens with funding soon. Sherwood is such a summer staple to Greenbrier County.

We camped in site 87 of Meadow. The bath houses had no hot water the entire time we were at Lake Sherwood. Also, the fireplace needs replaced & the site needs more gravel to eliminate muddy conditions.
I would recommend providing a hotspot for connectivity to cell service. The public telephone there was not in service.

I have been going to Sherwood since the late 60's and the great part about it is that it has stayed exactly the same. Its a pleasure to take my kids and grandkids to a place that has not changed since it was built. Well, The only change is now they have hot water haha.
