One of my very favorite campgrounds! Beautiful views, great trails, large private campsites, and new bathrooms. I have been visiting Lake Sherwood since I was a child and it remains one my very favorite places to camp. Looking forward to my next trip.

Site was great. Backing in was a little tricky because the site is flanked by trees and angled almost 90 degrees from the road (we have a 17’ trailer). Rented a John boat which was awesome.

Really great campsite! Shore line is a bit marshy at the time we went, so bring appropriate shoes / pants for bugginess. Hosts were very helpful and informative, and kept us in the loop about storms approaching and where to take shelter. Great host.
Only feedback would be better/clear instruction on where to wash dishes near campsites - we mostly just saw where NOT to wash them.

Always be ready for rain. Lots to visit nearby such as Beartown, Cranberry Glades & its Visitor Center as well as the Salt Cave just outside of White Sulphur Springs. The Big Draft Brewery is a nice place to dine.
