Well, at least now we’ll know not to camp along the lake. Two sites down(#19), the people had two small dogs that carried on constantly. It was ridiculous. I mentioned to the camp host who was in the site next to us that the people must’ve thought the yapping critters were grandchildren instead of dogs. This went on from Sunday until early Thursday when the campers left with their dogs. Then it was a peaceful day. But then Thursday night after ten p.m. a party broke out up the way. It went from loud talking and laughing to yelling and shrieking, I’m assuming as alcohol consumption increased. Again, with the camp hosts right beside us. I mentioned it as we were packing up Friday to the attendant as she removed the card from our driveway post. She apologized and asked if we complained to the host. I smiled and just said, “They are right there”.

Camping area and lake were pristine. My young son enjoyed the beach and the campsites were nicely spaced with plenty of privacy and convenient access to the lake.

Wonderful place to stay! Our favorite RV destination. We enjoy the hiking, camping lakeside, and ice cream from the boat shop.

Enjoyed our time at Sherwood lake. Our camp host Jerry and Jesse where very helpful and like always did a great job in making the visit pleasurable. Love the family atmosphere at Sherwood lake.
The camp sites need a lot of work. Grass was high. Need to invest in putting electricity to all of the sites.

Beautiful location. We have camped at Lake Sherwood in excess of 50 years. We have witnessed improvements over those many years to accommodate campers. We were disappointed that not all campgrounds had been updated with restrooms & showers. Our Meadow Creek Loop still has dated bathroom facilities while all the other campgrounds have new bathroom facilities. The campsite #87 is desperate need of gravel. It’s a muddy mess when it rains. Also, it would be a great service to campers to provide a designated “hotspot” for cell service. Lastly a stocking of bass & other fish is greatly needed.
