Camped here as a kid for many years, some of my favorite times. Got away from it all when my parents passed but have just recently returned and introduced my Girlfriend to sherwood. We had a great time, our hosts in Meadowcreek Jerry and Ruth ate AWESOME. We've decided to make this an annual thing so can't wait to return.
The only bad thing I have to say is the park service used to use guys from the correctional center to do up keep on the park, mowing, weedeating and such. They no longer do this and it's taking a toll on the beauty the park possesses. I know the park service is stretched thin but something really needs to be done.

We have gone to Sherwood since I was a baby until my father passed. This was the first year (it’s been 7 years) that we felt we would able to go back (after 37 straight years of going every summer). It was just as great as I thought it would be and this time there were fish to catch! The muskies has eaten all the little fish before. Lol
The workers at the main gate were awesome! (Except one that had no idea what she was doing). The bathrooms were the same but with less cleaning service and toilet paper ran out often. It is still our favorite place to camp. Thank you so much for years of memories and for helping keep my daddy’s memory alive in our family.

Only negative thing was the potholes. It was like driving through a mine field.

Enjoy the Saturday activity for campers (Snake show, Bird of Prey show, etc.) as well as clean bathhouses that provide hot showers and flush toilets. Beautiful lake to canoe, fish or swim at the beach. Thankful for no electric and no cell service, truly unplug here. Lots to do in White Sulfur Springs, Marlinton and Lewisburg.
