We love Spectacle Lake. The Lake itself is so nice and clean, and our lab loves it. We like being able to use our generator. The only thing that keeps me from classifying Spectacle as five stars is our cell phone coverage. We have AT&T and can't really call, text, or even use cellular data with any reliability. Obviously, we don't go camping to use the internet, but we do like to keep in touch with our kids and like to have a balance between tech and no tech.

Great campground! The bathrooms were clean, the beach was welcoming and the sites were lovely. There is a fishing pier and a hiking trail that go to a neighboring campground on a different lake.

From Eagle River, travel 7.6 mi to FR2178 (Military Road). Turn left (north) and continue 2.9 mi to Kentuck Lake Road (FR2465). Turn right (northeast) on FR2465 and continue 1.7 mi to FR2196. Turn left (north) and continue 2.2 mi to Spectacle Lake Road (FR2572). Turn right (east) and travel 1.2 mi to the campground.
