I would have rated 5 stars, but I ended up in a TERRIBLY uneven site (#16), that left me trying to level my motorhome for about an hour. I finally gave up, and contacted the Camp Host, who was WONDERFUL. I was then given a different site, and it was excellent (#43). Lovely park, and I wish I had longer to enjoy it, but was only there for one night.

We had campsite 35. It was great. Large, Flat, spacious, lakeside. Quiet campground even though there are a lot of people around. There were a few minor issues. One of the shower houses didn’t have hot water. Had to use the other. Also the path down to the lake from our site was very swampy and had standing water. I don’t know if it was the rangers or if it was a camper who put wood down on the ground to walk across, but while it was helpful to be able to walk across the wet muddy area, the boards and pallets are unstable. This seems like something the rangers should be addressing and improving properly.

I didn't stay. I arrived at my site, got out of my van and was immediately attacked by biting flies. stayed about 30 minutes after applying bug spray. also there were loud motor boats on the lake, and a boat moored on the shore by my campsite blasting music. not the forest experience I was hoping for. after half an hour I left. drove 2 hours to the interstate and found a hotel. Sad.

We love the fact that the sites are large and spacious with lots of privacy from the campers next to you.

We love this campground, but the rules for generators need adjusting. We had a very loud generator at the site across the street.

The campgrounds themselves were perfect as usual. The only negative we had being on the lake side non-electric campsites were the boaters from different properties anchoring out 10 feet along the shorelines of the campsites. We enjoy being able to swim and relax being secluded and the endless pontoon boats along the shoreline kind of took that away. We also had on more than one occasion random people walking right through our campsite that we had to tell we didn't appreciate.
