What Guests Are Saying
Grant River Campground offers spacious, well-maintained sites with stunning views of the Mississippi River and beautiful sunsets. Visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities and the friendly atmosphere, as well as the proximity to charming towns like Potosi. However, the frequent train traffic nearby can be disruptive for some campers, especially at night.

It is a quiet campground and has a very clean shower house. The campground is right on the Mississippi River. The boat ramp at this campground is essentially useless unless you are putting in a kayak, The river is extremely shallow and mucky here; the channel is on the Iowa side of the river. If you have a boat of any size then you need to go to the Cassville boat ramp. There is a RR track right next door and it is a busy track; it wasn't a determent to our camping.

We only live about 3 miles from the campground. It is one of the best campgrounds that we have ever camped in. It is always kept up very well, the shower house and restrooms are always clean and the view of the Mississippi River is exceptional. With the paved roadway and the cemented pads, the Corps of Engineers has done a wonderful job .

We had a site reserved but when arrived someone was at our site. It was resolved with no problems. This campground was very well managed and has a great view of the Mississippi River. Would highly recommend.

Grant River is a quite campground, even with the trains that pass by on the east. Camping spots are spaced so you can enjoy your outdoor privacy.
The town of Potosi is very nice. We visited the beer museum, and had a great sandwich. Potosi is less than 5 miles from the campground.
We also toured the Dickeyville Grotto, which was around 10 miles away.

The campground is very nice. Sites are fairly level and easy to back into.
They had one rule that was a little odd, No parking on the grass “except for boat trailers “. There were two very large boats parked on the grass which was ok but my little motorcycle trailer was not allowed?
