Like the campground. I think the clearcut done at campsite 18 and 19 for a view of the swamp below was a horrible move. It provides no aesthetical value and mature trees don't grow back for 25 years. It detracts from the setting.
I also object to the policy of all campsite reservable and none left for first serve. People reserve sites and never show. Having to go online only for reservation camping is shutting out a huge number of people for access. Not fair.

This campground could use some upgrades at the camp site. Compared to gull lake and big sandy where they have a very good host and volunteer people that do a good job with campsites

Interstate 94 east from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Exit 24. Take
County Road B at Exit 24 south approximately 2 miles. Follow
highway signs east on County Road N for another 2 miles until it
intersects County Road NN. Go south on NN for 2 miles until
campground entrance sign, turn right onto Dugan Road.

Each campsite [excluding Group Site 1 (GS1)] is limited to 1 camper and 1 tent or 2 tents with 6 occupants maximum. All camping equipment must stay on the designated campsite. |
