What a fabulous campground!! All the sites are right along the stream and far enough away from each other. We drove up to another forest service road and saw moose chomping on willow.

Coming down the mountain we never saw a sign and ended up having to backtrack from Buffalo. Tried to look on the way out the next day and didn't see the sign either (it's across from the YMCA camp). The campground was clean and on a nice little stream. When the morning we found a cigarette butt in our firepit that definitely wasn't there the night before so that was a little creepy.

Great camping experience. My first stay on a National Forrest Park. Arrived late in the day so I was a little anxious. The staff person was wonderful. She explained everything and made me feel relaxed and comfortable. Beautiful site and overall great experience. Only negative comment would be “need better signage in town. I couldn’t determine the correct route and had to stop a and ask direction at a local business.”

Sept stay was beautiful but cold. Heavily wooded campground with 10 sites scattered along the campground road with lots of space inbetween sites. Gurgling creek (in Sept) meandering thru campground. Our site was long and roomy even with our slides on both sides of trailer. No hookups available. We forgot that our diesel truck needed to be plugged in for the cold night - but a friendly neighbor with a generator got it started for us. With babbling creek, we never heard his generator two sites over but thankful he had it! Lots of beautiful national forest to explore - campground is in midst of everything! Continuing down the road after the last site in the campground are a bunch of cabins scattered along a nice road for hiking. Warnings about bears but we didn't see any evidence of them. Would love to spend lots more time in this amazing campground - the beauty of trees and creek and large sites so you don't feel stuffed in a parking lot - this is the best camping!!
