What Guests Are Saying

South Fork Campground is highly praised for its clean facilities, attentive camp host, and beautiful location near the creek, making it ideal for exploring the Bighorn Mountains. Many visitors enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, well-maintained trails, and the relaxing sound of the nearby stream. While some noted that campsites are close together and that fire pits could be better maintained, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

This little campground is now one of my favorites! Very friendly host helped us out when our lighter went dry. River running through the CG drowns out all noise from other campers and their generators (and ours). Big hill in back with scrambling rocks was super fun for me and my cat. Beautiful, secluded area. Hwy 16 was absolutely gorgeous -- I had no idea what was in store for us in the Big Horn NF, but now I will certainly be back.

Stayed at site #3. Clear creek is just behind the picnic area. Vault toilets close by as well water. Plenty of sun to maintain the batteries via solar panel. Our host Deb was great. Hwy noise was minor and usually jake breaks or Harley's. Will stay here again for sure.

We stayed at SouthFork Campground (site 003) for one night on our way to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone and were very pleased with the experience. Very easy booking on Recreation.gov. Being along side Clear Creek the sound of the rushing water down the embankment was mesmerizing and the tall pines all around was very picturesque. Plenty of rpivacy. The camp Host stopped bye and was very friendly. The nearby vault toilet (just across street) was very clean and the potable water source at the edge of our campsite was very convenient. We setup camp quickly and got a quick 2 mile or so hike in along the creek to the reservoir before dark. Ice and firewood was available for purchase from host 8am-8pm. No showers but that was not a big deal.
