What Guests Are Saying
Big Game Campground offers a quiet and shady environment with very clean bathrooms. However, adding gravel around the picnic tables would improve the experience by preventing mud during rain. Overall, it's a pleasant camping spot.

No posting of our reservation. Another camper claimed it was opened. Camphost was not at their rig to clear up situation. Luckily there was another site to pull in. Same held true with friends traveling with us

Sites are spacious. Only one toilet not so good and it’s very smelly and dirty; need to upgrade cleanliness, paint the floor, add a trash can instead of just a plastic bag hanging. No wood available to have a campfire. Would be good to know when host is/is not there; said he was going to town as we pulled in but was not there the next day. Also, hours of operation staffing by volunteers at adjacent Wapiti Ranger Station are not posted. This practice has become common at state and national parks around the country of which many are understaffed and noncommittal about service hours. Please do your jobs and serve the public who support your pay. It’s not okay to not have regular hours posted and supported. We’re all paying for our park systems. Why are the parks not supporting us?

This was a nice, clean CG in a pretty location. Our site (8) was good, not exactly spacious, but the bugs were too bad (late June) to spend much time outside at the site anyway. The next site (9?) has direct river access and no one was there, so we could walk through and enjoy the beautiful river. The host was friendly and helpful.

Small older campground with quite a few shady sites. Right on the Shoshone River.
Very old single restroom that needs to be replaced. The newer restroom was washed out by flooding and never replaced. Some sites are close to the highway and experience traffic noise. There’s no water available here.

Very nice campground. Host kept it very clean. You could run 1 water line to the host camp so we wouldn't have to go over to Wapati campground. Lack of water would not keep us from camping there again.

Beautiful campsites bathhouses could have been cleaned at least once during our 4 night stay.

No camp host at all during our four day stay. Grounds had not been mowed in quite a while and pit toilet not serviced in five days. Traffic was loud. I would not recommend this campground.
