This is a wonderful campground. Easy to get to but sites are secluded from the road and from each other. Great location along the Shoshone River with a bridge to allow exploration of the area.

We absolutely loved Wapiti campground! Stunningly beautiful location, private and perfectly laid out campsites and a great launching point into the East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park. We spent one night at Wapiti, in a spot right on the river, and then drove to Yellowstone lake and then onto Cooke City. The camp host at Wapiti is a super friendly guy who offered to provide us with a weather report and other information before we left.

Would stay there again!

This was our favorite campground of our trip around Yellowstone. No signal, pretty sparse, quiet, clean and really unique scenery. The hike across the bridge is great. Site was nice, level and open.
