The campground is very nice and overlooks a wide meadow where deer visited the area at dusk. The bathrooms were very clean and well maintained, firewood was available for purchase, and a water pump was on-site. Our host Leanne was very helpful, especially after we had car trouble and needed a ride to use a phone. I would stay here again.

Was really quite a good time. The camp host had gotten hurt so wasn’t around but everyone seemed to be very respectful and conscientious about the other campers. Noise was minimal and the driving around and dust seemed to be better this year.

As a first timer to the Big Horns, this was a great camping experience. We arrived to snow/rain at 11:30pm and were able to find our campsite quickly as it is labeled clearly and organized well. Bathrooms were close and well maintained. The site had a couple level spots for a tent. loved having the grill spots and table. There was a nice post over the table with a hook to hang a lantern. We visited late June for a weekend and saw a dozen moose near Burgess Junction and a few on Copper Creek Rd. Also, no mosquitos on our visit. Sibley Lake and Black Mountain Lookout were a ton of fun for us. Can't wait to come back.

The campground water was not activated in June while camping here without water was challenging to say the least. $28+ for no water campground is not worth it. Maybe the forest service should review their jobs with their salary worthness

Tie Flume 16 is an amazing space with a giant open area of grass with plenty of space for tents. We had a bull moose that came over at a safe distance and relaxed for a while at the site. The creek is a very short walking distance with great fishing. At this sight I was able to pull in easily with a camper and even leave my truck in front of the camper instead of parking on the side. The bathroom is always clean and even has a night light for you. We had such a wonderful stay that every year we come up to this spot. The advisers were amazing, and they always have wood to buy so you didn't have to travel far. Tie Flume also has a water pump not far from the site. The beauty by itself is enough. We let people come in the campsite to take pictures of the moose since that is his favorite place to be, just be courteous to the other campers wanting pictures! Absolutely love this spot!!

From Dayton, Wyoming: Travel 26.5 miles west on U.S. Highway 14 to Burgess Junction. Take a left and continue 5 miles south on U.S. Highway 14, then turn east (right) onto Forest Road 26. Travel about 2 miles to the junction with Forest Road 16, where the campground is located.
Elevation: 2553 feet
33 mi drive to downtown Dayton (about 45 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- The administering organization reserves the right to substitute sites without prior notice. Two non-towed vehicles allowed per site. The first vehicle is included in the basic fee; the second vehicle will be charged an extra $9.00 fee at the campground.
- Groups larger than 20 people must use a Day Use facility: Willow Park, Hettinger, Ranger Creek Recreation Area or Pine Island offer group camping
- Firewood bundles may be purchased from the campground host.

- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- Refunds: Refund requests made through www.recreation.gov will be charged a $10 processing fee. This fee is retained by the reservation service contractor along with the non-refundable reservation fee. All requests for the return of the non-refundable reservation fee and the cancellation fee will be declined by the campground concessionaire as they did not receive these fees (these are the fees retained by the reservation contractor, a different entity).
