What Guests Are Saying
Dead Swede campground is highly praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and attentive camp hosts, making it one of the best camping experiences for many visitors. The beautiful location by the South Tongue River and opportunities for wildlife viewing, including moose and deer, enhance its appeal. However, some guests noted issues with site privacy and noise from nearby ATV traffic, which may detract from the experience for some campers.

Dead Swede is one of the nicest campgrounds we’ve stayed in . Nice layout and the construction seems to be above others that we’ve stayed in.

Campground hosts were very attentive. Vault toilets were well provided and spotlessly clean.

Clean, quiet, did have a problem getting sites when they opened up for reservations. The site was not functioning correctly. Will use the park again. The visitor center was a good source for information. Always enjoy the Big horns

Love this campground. Bathrooms were clean and well attended. We were able to watch the Moose and Deer almost daily from our campsite (and a few times in our campsite)!
