Amazing campground near the river. Quiet and peaceful and really couldn't ask for anything more. The host, Jane, was very helpful with us when there was a mistake on our reservation. She made sure we had a camp spot and were taken care of. Very grateful for her help. I can't wait to return.

We had site #3 because of another review that said it was the BEST SPOT!!! So we booked it!!! We get there and was a bit of a trek to get there from Sheridan. Lots and lots of side by sides which was okay I guess, but the dust ups wasn’t. Fine fine fine….we got onto our hiking and enjoying quiet nights until the camp host that was next to us that we weren’t aware of came home. Older couple with “Three Little Dogs”!!! Then the generator turns on and stays on all day long and then the yappy dogs. Glad it was our last night there!!! Next go around would be down the road from traffic at the dead end of the park.

Dead Swede is a lovely off-grid campground. We stayed in a site next to the river and enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of the running water. The kids couldn't get enough of playing in the water, and the parents got to spend some much needed time relaxing in a hammock. There is no cell signal nearby, which only enhances the wilderness experience. There seem to be plenty of off-roading trails around, and we saw moose on the drive in. We'll be back.

We were parked in picnic area which we didn't know. It was nice close to river and quiet. Late in the afternoon. No one was there and we were asked to move our small camper van. Was awful we had to part around 4 wheeler toys and generated large RV's. Would be so much better to separate non generator Tents and our small camper van. Would never stay there again

Love this campground! The bathrooms are always clean, and it’s always been quiet when we’ve stayed there. Lots of animals and fish, too!

Dead Swede is one of our favorite campgrounds. We always go on Fathers Day weekend and while it usually rains then, which it did, it was wet but pleasant. The Host Jan does a very good job at keeping things looking good.
