Beautiful campground! Campsites near river are perfect settings to walk and see wildlife. Campsites near host very nice and helpful. Bathrooms kept pleasantly clean, and could smell the bleach! Always appreciate a clean rest room!! I would definitely recommend this campground!

Just a great campground in the BIG HORNS. We had a fine pull through site. The host was wonderful. We even added a day to our 3-day reservation. The improved and very level picnic table/fire ring/Forest Service pole was great. All good at the campsite. Our only complaint was the 3-mile gravel road leading to the Tie Flume CG was "wash-boardy", very slow and in need of a good grading................OK, when not towing but terrible and very slow when towing out T-trailer.

Great place for dry camping for a few days; site was spacious; Host was wonderful. Saw a moose as we were leaving. There is a dump station about 5 miles down the road. Will return

This was our 3rd time visiting. It is such a peaceful place. The stars are so close you feel like you can touch them. The silence that is there is so beautiful. Cooking all your meals over the fire! My husband enjoyed the fly fishing. Fun family memories to last a lifetime!! Can’t wait to go back!

5 stars for site host, campsite was clean, facilities were clean
2 stars for the overall campsite, it is VERY busy. Cars traveling through during the day and you are close to a road so you always hear traffic-think motorcycles and ATVs-loud! We had a lot of kids with us so with the business it wasn't the best campsite for us and the kids.

We had an enjoyable stay at Tie Flume. We tent camped at camp site #13. My only complaint was there was no really level spot to set up a tent. We could have used the pad itself, but I felt it would have been too close to the fire pit and the tent may have been damaged by flying sparks/ash. There had been snow over the days prior to our arrival and the ground was pretty wet even after a couple of sunny warm days. But, we made the best of it and it worked out. Lots of wild life around the camp ground area. In fact, we had a young bull moose wander right up to our camp site munching on moose munch (I guess). He was pretty content and didn't seem to pose a threat and eventually wandered off. Deer, rabbits, ground squirrels, chipmunks, any number of bird species constantly entertained us. We especially enjoyed the Grey Jays. Our neighbors respected the noise curfew, it was definitely quiet in the overnight hours.

Tie Flume is a wonderful campground. There are several sites just adjacent to the South Fork of the Tongue River. Restrooms were clean. Fire pit was clean, a few logs of wood were left on top the grill. There are several locations nearby to fish on the Tongue River. Bear Lodge is also just a few minutes down the road and you can get breakfast and a shower there! I highly recommend Tie Flume campground.

From Dayton, Wyoming: Travel 26.5 miles west on U.S. Highway 14 to Burgess Junction. Take a left and continue 5 miles south on U.S. Highway 14, then turn east (right) onto Forest Road 26. Travel about 2 miles to the junction with Forest Road 16, where the campground is located.

Policies & Rules
General
- The administering organization reserves the right to substitute sites without prior notice. Two non-towed vehicles allowed per site. The first vehicle is included in the basic fee; the second vehicle will be charged an extra $9.00 fee at the campground.
- Groups larger than 20 people must use a Day Use facility: Willow Park, Hettinger, Ranger Creek Recreation Area or Pine Island offer group camping
- Firewood bundles may be purchased from the campground host.

- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- Refunds: Refund requests made through www.recreation.gov will be charged a $10 processing fee. This fee is retained by the reservation service contractor along with the non-refundable reservation fee. All requests for the return of the non-refundable reservation fee and the cancellation fee will be declined by the campground concessionaire as they did not receive these fees (these are the fees retained by the reservation contractor, a different entity).
