We had been to this campground earlier in June and returned because we were able to reserve at last minute. This time we had site 22, it was perfect. Beautiful view.

Camp Host are always great,helpful,and kind. But Be aware and prepared for the rhythmic sounds of generators running a lot. I really wish that if the folks have a need for a generator they pony up and get a whisper quiet one and run it with any form of consideration.
Please give all wildlife more room than you think they need.

Scott and his wife were great. Beautiful setting. Just to much rain for my tent camping. Do need some rock and grave to fill in. Alot of standing water. Did see every animal in the park. Including at bear!!!

The campground itself is good. However, it is a haven for Side by Sides due to all the availability of trails for them in the area. Site 005 is next to the road for Tie Flume and Dead Swede campgrounds, so there is constant noise from vehicles of all types during daylight hours. Starting early in the day, and ending late in the day. A fine dust from the vehicles on the roads coats everything at your campsite(s). 001, 002, ... 006. I tent camped, which made for even a less pleasurable Tie Flume experience. Noise and dust may be more tolerable in a hardside camper. Those, like the SxS's, were in abundance along with hit/miss to adherence of the non-use of generators from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
The scenery, roads (I was a camper on a cross-country motorcycle trip) and wildlife when present is/are hard to top, but if I ever pass through again, I'll probably bypass Tie Flume for the aforementioned issues.

Very nice campground. Bathrooms are always clean. Hiking the creek nearby is an Easy hike and beautiful.

The campsite was very well maintained and the camphosts where friendly but not intrusive.
Unfortunately it rained almost the whole time we were there and all the trails were closed. That is no fault of the campground though.

Camp hosts were absolutely awesome. Went over and above the call of duty to keep the campground immaculate! Bathrooms were checked often and kept clean. Very friendly people. It is rare to find such work ethic in camp hosts. Kudos to them! They are awesome hosts!

This is the second time we have stayed at Tie Flume and it was fantastic, as usual! The sites are clean, relatively level, and have plenty of space to park extra vehicles. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. We didn't have any interaction with the campground hosts, but they were available if a need would have arose. Overall, one of our favorite campgrounds in the Big Horns!!

From Dayton, Wyoming: Travel 26.5 miles west on U.S. Highway 14 to Burgess Junction. Take a left and continue 5 miles south on U.S. Highway 14, then turn east (right) onto Forest Road 26. Travel about 2 miles to the junction with Forest Road 16, where the campground is located.
Elevation: 2553 feet
33 mi drive to downtown Dayton (about 45 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- The administering organization reserves the right to substitute sites without prior notice. Two non-towed vehicles allowed per site. The first vehicle is included in the basic fee; the second vehicle will be charged an extra $9.00 fee at the campground.
- Groups larger than 20 people must use a Day Use facility: Willow Park, Hettinger, Ranger Creek Recreation Area or Pine Island offer group camping
- Firewood bundles may be purchased from the campground host.

- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- Refunds: Refund requests made through www.recreation.gov will be charged a $10 processing fee. This fee is retained by the reservation service contractor along with the non-refundable reservation fee. All requests for the return of the non-refundable reservation fee and the cancellation fee will be declined by the campground concessionaire as they did not receive these fees (these are the fees retained by the reservation contractor, a different entity).
