Campsite #10 was clean upon arrival. Pit toilet and potable water were easily accessible and trash picked up regularly. Quiet.

The reservations for this site are deceiving. We reserved site #2, when we arrived it was a group campsite with site #1. Other campgrounds list these as a group campsite. I never would have reserved this site, had I known. This was not what we signed up for and VERY disappointing upon arrival!
The campground host was awesome and moved us to another site. Unfortunately, there was not a site available for the 3 nights we had reserved. I would like a refund!
Shell Creek campground is a lovely campground. The host was responsive and keeps a clean campground.

Beautiful location. Clean restrooms and friendly camp host. Out of staters from North Dakota let their dogs chase deer and they parked on the grass, wild flowers and brush; not staying on the graveled designated parking space.

The campground is beautiful, huge pine trees with the creek running through the campground. The camp host was awesome. We will definitely be going back.

Beautiful campground. Clean toilets.
Only downside was the biting flies that overwhelmed our site.

Getting There
Located 32 mi east of Greybull, Wyoming, on U.S. Highway 14. Turn off onto Paintrock Lakes Road (Forest Road 17). Shell Creek Campground is 1.5 mi from the turnoff.

Shell Creek Campground is accessible via U.S. Highway 14, located 32 miles west of Greybull, Wyoming.
Policies & Rules
General
- The administering organization reserves the right to substitute sites without prior notice
- Two non-towed vehicles allowed per site. The first vehicle is included in the basic fee; the second vehicle will be charged an extra $9.00 fee at the campground.
- Firewood bundles may be purchased from the campground host.

- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- Refunds: Refund requests made through www.recreation.gov will be charged a $10 processing fee. This fee is retained by the reservation service contractor along with the non-refundable reservation fee. All requests for the return of the non-refundable reservation fee and the cancellation fee will be declined by the campground concessionaire as they did not receive these fees (these are the fees retained by the reservation contractor, a different entity).
