The Campground hosts were very helpful and took great care of this CG. The restrooms were clean and well taken care of. This CG is in a beautiful area of the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming, amazing setting!

Camp sight was good. . As always enjoyed sound of creek. My favorite thing about Shell. Enjoyed several trips up the mountain in our atv.
Watched several deer near camp. Also spotted two moose across from camp.

We've been coming to this campground for about 10+ years now. Hosts have always been willing to help. Bathrooms have always been cleaner than some 5 star hotels. Kudos to all the hosts over the years that have done such a good job.

Located 32 miles east of Greybull, Wyoming, on U.S. Highway 14. Turn off onto Paintrock Lakes Road (Forest Road 17). Shell Creek Campground is 1.5 miles from the turnoff.
Shell Creek Campground is accessible via U.S. Highway 14, located 32 miles west of Greybull, Wyoming.
Elevation: 2305 feet
33 mi drive to downtown Greybull (about 44 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- The administering organization reserves the right to substitute sites without prior notice
- Two non-towed vehicles allowed per site. The first vehicle is included in the basic fee; the second vehicle will be charged an extra $9.00 fee at the campground.
- Firewood bundles may be purchased from the campground host.

- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- Refunds: Refund requests made through www.recreation.gov will be charged a $10 processing fee. This fee is retained by the reservation service contractor along with the non-refundable reservation fee. All requests for the return of the non-refundable reservation fee and the cancellation fee will be declined by the campground concessionaire as they did not receive these fees (these are the fees retained by the reservation contractor, a different entity).
