What Guests Are Saying

Shell Creek Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained environment, featuring clean restrooms and friendly hosts who go above and beyond to assist campers. The picturesque location, nestled among large pine trees and alongside a charming creek, enhances the overall experience. While there were some minor issues such as generator noise and biting flies, the positives greatly outweigh the negatives, making it a highly recommended spot for campers.

Beautiful campground with decent sized sites. No shade in the outer ones, but it worked out fine for us while we were there. Very quiet. No cell phone coverage (AT&T and Verizon). Bathrooms were very clean and the hosts were really friendly. No hiking trails from the campground, but there is a creek the dogs were able to play in. We saw a moose and lots of deer.

Shell Creek is always one of our favorite campgrounds in the Bighorn’s. Sites are large and spaced out to maximize privacy and it is always well maintained.

Great campground and site (site 12). Peaceful, quiet, friendly neighbors. We were right on the creek, which is just beautiful and provided peaceful background noise. The site was spacious and flat. The water from the spigots is cool and delicious. Bugs were not bad in late July. The road to the CG is steep and dirt, so four wheel drive was handy. We had a bit of a holdup while waiting for cattle to cross the road.
