What Guests Are Saying

Shell Creek Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained environment, featuring clean restrooms and friendly hosts who go above and beyond to assist campers. The picturesque location, nestled among large pine trees and alongside a charming creek, enhances the overall experience. While there were some minor issues such as generator noise and biting flies, the positives greatly outweigh the negatives, making it a highly recommended spot for campers.

Very happy with the campground and very friendly/helpful hosts. Campground was clean and beautiful. Website description was perfectly accurate.

I was however disappointed that so many trails were closed as we drove 1000 miles to Wyoming with the sole purpose of ATVing in the Bighorn Mountains.

Not sure how we could have found out ahead of time that the trails were closed.

This is the sixth year in a row that we have camped the third week of June at Shell Creek. The fishing is good, the wildflowers are magnificent, and the scenery is breathtaking. The campground is small and quiet, because it's away from the highway. We plan to go back next June.

Absolutely gorgeous area. Site was clean and close to the water. Bathrooms clean.
No firewood for purchase that I could see and none laying around but with the weather beautiful I didn’t care to build a fire anyway. Love Wyoming

Camp lot: 15 - Big Tent
The spot was great for a tent in cooler temperatures. Has Full Sun. You can hear the creek faintly in the distance. the two restrooms we visited were kept very clean and had deodorizers in them to keep them smelling fresh. Dale and Lauretta were kind and very friendly. Dale was nice enough to take our big garbage from our site to the dump in his gator and Lauretta stopped by and gave us some unbelievable delicious homemade treats! I recommend going to see Shell Falls which is really close to the campground. 7 miles away takes about 15 - 20 min to get there by vehicle.
