The host did a poor job keeping up with the reservations. Our group reserved spots 2,3,&4 to be together and someone was in spot 3 all three nights.

Great relatively out of the way campground! Clean restroom facilities, ample space to stretch out and enjoy the howls of the coyotes nearby. Note that trash must be hauled out, leave no trace.

High altitude, lots of shade, and Porcupine Creek runs next to it. Campground is very quite. What is not to like about Porcupine Campground.

The camphost was amazing. We were two women exploring the forest ourselves, and he made us feel so welcome. He helped us out of a tight situation (our site was joined to another, and the other people brought 5 yappy dogs - who does that? They didn't even leave their crates) by switching sites, gave us great advice on fishing and the area, and even personally took us to sheep mountain for elk. We could not ask for better. His children were polite and so helpful. Honestly, he is the best camp host I've ever had.
Note* don't ever rent site 9 if you want your own spot.

The campsite was nice. The scenery wasn’t the best and there was alot of traffic on the road right down from our site. Camp host was nice and greeted us shortly after arriving. It appeared a family group wanted our site, which they did move to when we left. They arrived our last night and unfortunately made our stay not so enjoyable. People should be aware that many of us go camping to enjoy the peacefulness of the outdoors. When you have children yelling constantly and forget there are actually other people there, you should be somewhat respectful. Bathrooms not stocked and not the cleanest.

Campground is always beautiful
However, the Campground host was not doing his job.... bathroom was out of toilet paper 2 days, our campfire ring was not cleaned out, and the sign said Campground was full, when in reality it was half full. Campground host name was Mickey
