What Guests Are Saying
Lizard Creek Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful setting on the shores of Jackson Lake, with spacious and well-maintained sites that provide a sense of privacy. Camp hosts are friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall experience with helpful tips and support. While the restrooms could use improvement, the campground is a great base for exploring both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, making it a favored destination for many campers.

Great campground on the lake. A bit pricy. Some grizzly bear activity during the day and some black bear activity at night just to make the experience all the more exhilarating. But the camp host was vigilant.

What a peaceful campsite! It was a bit back from the road and had a path that led down to the water. Not really beach access but you could enter the water from there if you are adventurous. The substantial beach access was further up the road, about a 3 minute walk from this site. There was not a lot of shade at this site during the day (in late July) but morning and evening time was just right. Our tent is about 8X10 and it fit well here with room to use the fire ring safely. It was a bit of a walk to the restroom from this site but doable. Overall, lovely site while enjoying GTNP.

Great campground! We had one of the walk-in sites - it was very spacious and felt private from our neighbors. Camp hosts were helpful and friendly, and they sell ice and firewood if you need it. Quiet and peaceful, although as others have said, you will need to drive to get to main hikes/attractions in the park.

A very peaceful campground away from the crowded village campgrounds. Be aware that these campsites are only for smaller size trailers. Lots of mosquitoes, flies, yellow jackets during our stay. Perfect location to hike and view wildlife at both Teton and Yellowstone national parks. Nice walk around the campground down to a lake. Would stay here again.

We stayed at site 10 and really enjoyed everything about it. The bear box was quite large (accommodated 55qt cooler, 2g water jusg, various other grocery bags) and could have fit more than we stored in it. The restrooms have flush toilets and running water sinks. They were cleaned and stocked regularly. There is an inlet to Jackson lake for fishing/paddle boats at the campground. The closest stores are in Colter Bay (S) and Flagg Ranch (N). Yellowstone N.P. and Jackson, WY are each about an hour away. Everything in Jackson in pricey. We went the third week in June. At night it got into the twenties and snowed. During the day, the weather was 60+ and great. Pics are included in my google review for Lizard Creek.

Stayed at site 39, not a great site as it consists of a path on the way to site 40.
If a big loud family stays at 40 it’s not so good.
Site 39 should in my opinion not be a site.

This was a nice campground! It’s far enough away from the business of the park but still close enough for easy access. Plus, the lake was so beautiful!!

Loved this campground. Our particular site was a little small for two tents but we made it work and other sites seemed to have plenty of room. The area was clean and well maintained.

First time camping in a bear country, it was awesome. This site is close to facilities, but also very quiet. It feels like we are on our own.
The staff was very kind and helpful.
Facilities were clean and good.
I loved my stay there !
