What Guests Are Saying
Lizard Creek Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful setting on the shores of Jackson Lake, with spacious and well-maintained sites that provide a sense of privacy. Camp hosts are friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall experience with helpful tips and support. While the restrooms could use improvement, the campground is a great base for exploring both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, making it a favored destination for many campers.

A nice shady campground with a short walk to the shores of Jackson Lake, but some of the campsites are pretty close together.

Really nice camp site, first night was great. Epic thunderstorm was both terrifying and amazing. After that, the wheels kind of fell off.
A group of campers came in on their friends reservation, but the friend had already given the site to someone else. So these folks went to the camp host, and the camp host called their bosses, and the bosses determined that the friend who overbooked a site(which is very much not ok to begin with), is too important to upset, so they placed this group in an overflow/VIP campsite next to us.
They then spent the next night reliving their college days by partying until well after the 10pm quiet time. I'm not into confronting drunken campers, but I was disappointed that the camp hosts didn't say anything, despite being right next to their site.
The next day we complained about the noise, which increased the level of disrespectful treatment by a considerable amount.
So look, the campsite was great, it's the Tetons and Yellowstone, which are always amazing. But this other group were very disrespectful and the leadership decision to let them stay was super disappointing. If we go back we will be very particular about where we end up.

Spaced out sites that are tucked away a bit. Short drive to the showers at Colter Bay + direct access to Jackson Lake.

This campground is nice because it is North of most traffic at Jackson Lake. We did see a grizzly bear so its important to keep your food in the bear box. The bathrooms are clean although it would be nice if they were sprayed for all the spiders in them. We launched Kayaks from the campground and it was beautiful out on the lake. We saw cranes and geese. It rained every afternoon so be prepared for that possibility, though we thought it was nice to cool things off. Over all a great experience!
