Things were fine, with one exception: The nearby (near my site 025) bathroom was locked, with a "Reserved" sign on it. A very unpleasant surprise! There was no explanation for how in the world a bathroom could be "reserved," and what the alternative was. I asked a neighbor-camper, and she advised me to walk to the public day-use area--about 5-7min. walk--and use the bathroom there. There should have been some better explanation--or better yet, the nearby bathroom should have been open.

While using the day use area we needed the rest room which was not open, I feel that during these Covid times closing part of the rest rooms forces more people to use the ones open and when they are only cleaned once a day is not sufficient. We also noticed that because of them being closed that the renters beside us were using the areas around there camp for there restroom. Sorry to say your new camp hosts are very unsociable. The host you had last year needs to come back!!!

Huge campground right on beautiful Fremont Lake. We stayed in site 13 & couldn't really see the lake from our campsite, but could easily walk across the campground road & up a small hill to be on the banks of the lake. The northernmost spots in the campground seemed like they'd have the best views. Bathrooms were clean. No trash easily accessible right in our area of the campground (had to drive to the boat put-in area). Beautiful area.

Fremont Lake Campground is our favorite camping experience in all of the USA. Each campsite is separated from your ‘neighbors’. The views are the best ever, and we have had deer walking through our campsite as well. We have seen osprey and eagles overhead as well. The bathrooms are always clean too. The camp hosts are available if needed too.

There are numerous campsites that have nice break in between them so you don't feel you are right on top of anyone. We had a spot near the water, and although the embankment down to the water was rather steep right by our spot we managed to find a cut-through to offload the kayak and drop it into the water right nearby. The campground we had was well kept and not too trashed. The bathroom nearby was simple ad acceptably clean and there was a fresh water pipe across the street from the restroom. Alll in all a USFS gem of an area. Kayaking up to the top, more interesting part of the lake is farther than it looks and I think I might try the dedicated boat put-in farther north to cut down on the time to get to the northern part of the lake. **HIGH WIND WARNING: Know the weather before you go out on this lake as winds whip up from the South and create very big waves very quickly (it can go from nothing to 3 foot waves in 10 minutes!) ALWAYS wear a life jacket! Be prepared, be safe!**
