The facilities at Fremont Lake are fantastic. They provide a true Wyoming camping experience. The campground host could not have been kinder or more gracious to my group of 19 teenagers on our science trip. We take this educational trip every other year and always stay at Fremont Lake. Highly recommend!!

Although the lake is beautiful and the camp hosts were fabulous the local young folks party at the boat ramp after the hosts go to bed until midnight or later. They noisily speed back-and-forth between the entrance and the boat ramp. Also the use of portable generators running for hours a day really reduces the pleasure of being there.
I would encourage much bigger speed bumps (they’ve cleverly removed the existing speed bumps in one lane and simply drive around the other) And would consider daytime limit, not just a quiet time, for the use of generators.
I will say that the bull moose was quite delightful and again the lake is beautiful.

Lots of wildlife and Fremont lake is gorgeous. Loved the Skyline drive to the end. Spectacular views of Wind River Range.

Beautiful, nice clean campground. I appreciate how our campsites were staggered, which gave us a view of the lake. There was also a lot of room between campsites. We weren’t looking out at our neighbors next door. The same was behind our campsite. Lots of beautiful Aspen trees, big, beautiful pines. The highlight was seeing a bull moose on our morning hikes. There was so some odor walking by the set of pit toilets, which is to be expected. Would love to come back.

Fremont Lake is a nice spot to camp especially if you’re heading into the Wind River range via Elkhart Park. Sites in the eastern section have more trees and shade than those near the western entrance. Lake is beautiful, clear and pretty cold but ok for a quick dip in August. Rainbow trout can be caught from shore.

Have been coming to fremont lake every year for the last 5 years. Campground host was less polite than Ive ever experienced before. Other guests seem to complain more than I have ever experienced before. Quiet time was at 10 but we were being told to turn off generator around 9 pm. I will admit it is louder than some generators but nothing outrageous. were cited for tying dog up at the campground stating it couldn't be left outside. then was cited for a different dog that is small and not loud left inside of a trailer stating couldn't be left in a trailer either. Probably won't come back next year.

We really enjoyed our time at Fremont Lake Campground. It is a beautiful location and the campground is well maintained. We had pleasant interactions with the camp hosts and other campers. People were very respectful - we didn't have any issues with noise - either from people or generators! We would definitely go back.

This was a very heavily used campground that needed extra policing in order to enforce the reservation rules.

Fremont Lake is beautiful, clear, deep, and cold with limited beach access. The campsites are clean and easy to get to, but be prepared for a walk to the lake, lots of people, and fewer vistas than you would expect. Pinedale is a great little town! Eat at the Wrangler Cafe or Half Moon Lake Lodge for locally sourced yummieness and take advantage of the Mountain Man Museum. There are teepees to play in and lots of other stuff!
