What Guests Are Saying
Mammoth Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with clean facilities and stunning views, making it a great base for exploring Yellowstone. Campers appreciated the helpful staff, wildlife encounters, and easy access to nearby trails. While some restrooms were closed during certain seasons and check-in could be slightly confusing, the overall atmosphere remained peaceful and enjoyable for visitors.

Mammoth campground was great! Good location in NW area of the park. It was about an hour drive to the next major geological feature. Site 67 is NOT level, RVs/campers not recommended. Bathrooms were clean and stocked, hosts were friendly and responsive. I can’t wait to return to Yellowstone again! 💛

The staff was wonderful here and the views were beautiful. It was only a short couple minute drive to an area with a gift shop and a place to grab a bite to eat.

Caution if booking site 48 - The site is very unlevel front to back! The campground was clean and camp hosts were very kind and helpful. Definitely take the short drive to Gardiner!

A beautiful campground slightly removed from the crowds of Yellowstone, but still easy access to the Mammoth Hot Springs visitor area. The camp hosts were welcoming and made sure everyone knew the camp rules when you sign in. The bathrooms were clean and easy to get to, there were an impressive amount of recycling bins, and the stars at night were some of the best I’ve seen. The site I got was clearly meant more for a camper, but the ground was level enough for a tent anyway and I didn’t have a problem.
