What Guests Are Saying
Mammoth Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with clean facilities and stunning views, making it a great base for exploring Yellowstone. Campers appreciated the helpful staff, wildlife encounters, and easy access to nearby trails. While some restrooms were closed during certain seasons and check-in could be slightly confusing, the overall atmosphere remained peaceful and enjoyable for visitors.

I agree with the previous review that this spot is not great for rvs. It's not level at all. The camp host were very friendly and we had an amazing time watching the elk!

The campground was clean and all services like toilets and water pumps were working great! Campers observed quiet hours, much appreciated! Highly recommend staying here if you're planning to see the rest of Yellowstone.

We had been here in June. We picked a site this time with a better view. Day 4 a lot of smoke. Large bear boxes allowed me to easily stow our Weber grill. We’ll be back.

Mammoth campground is the closest campground to explore the Lamar Valley in the early morning hours. It’s proximity to the visitor center and the general store Arabic plus.
