What Guests Are Saying
Mammoth Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with clean facilities and stunning views, making it a great base for exploring Yellowstone. Campers appreciated the helpful staff, wildlife encounters, and easy access to nearby trails. While some restrooms were closed during certain seasons and check-in could be slightly confusing, the overall atmosphere remained peaceful and enjoyable for visitors.

The campsite worked well for us. We only wished that they had a dump station at that campground. We had to wait to dump at Madison campground when we were driving out of Yellowstone.

Everything was great except the restroom did not have toilet paper. The camp host was told and she said “someone stole it.” The next morning there still was not toilet paper.

Overall experience was positive but was upset that when my kid got sick the volunteers in the rangers station couldn’t tell me where to get services. It was not a 911 emergency so I was out of luck. My kid had a migraine but I wanted to make sure it wasn’t something more serious. Finally the volunteers googled (which I couldn’t do because NO CELL SERVICE for camper but obviously the volunteers had internet access) where to go and I was told the nearest emergency room was in Lincoln. There should be an Urgent care that is staffed until at least 11Pm. The clinic in Mammoth closed at 5Pm.

This spot said you can tent. While you technically can tent, it’s all gravel.
Do not stay on this spot if you planning to use a tent.

Nice site. We enjoyed the campground and location for exploring the north side of yellowstone. Flush toilets were good, and site was great for fitting our travel trailer (28ft long).

Beautiful campground with amazing views. Very well maintained and clean. The host stopped by to check on us at one point. Conveniently located next to park entrance and Mammoth hotel. Appreciated the on-site bear box, fire pit, and picnic table.
