I was escaping Florida to avoid Hurricane Debby in my camper. I found Hardridge Creek and thought it had pull through sites and seemed pretty. When I arrived without reservations the entrance station volunteers were fantastic. I had been looking at a site in the teens and they recommended site #41 on the water. I loved the site, it was very peaceful with water views on both sides of my camper and a beautiful sunrise. The only downside was the ants. I had them coming in from both sides of the camper, and it wasn't pleasant. Luckily I had ant bait so was able to eliminate them pretty quickly. I suggest feeding the ants outside to keep them happy and out of your camper.
I will definitely recommend this campground to friends and family, probably random strangers also.

The place is kept very clean, specially the bathrooms. They have very clean showers too with hot water. They had staff driving around every once in a while. The park is always very quiet, no one disturbing anyone. The only issue I found is the insane amount of ants. Even spraying the tires, cables, hoses and jacks, with ant spray, they managed to get inside our RV, and vehicles. I guess they fell from the trees because we had them all over our camper. Also we had deer ticks on us when we wondered the paths to the lake. Other than those issues, nice park.

Camp site was beautiful- didn’t catch many fish though. And the ant problem is out of control.

A great spot, sites nicely isolated, great view of the lake. The biggest annoyance was the large "NO DIVING" post and sign in the middle of that great view and at every campsite. Could have mounted the sign to the railing at least, seems completely over the top in our opinion.

Everything was good except the parking situation. No room to park the boat or even the truck at our friends site. We had enough room to park a small car in front of our RV. But the place was nice.

We enjoyed the camping very much, but the tiny little ants were TERRIBLE. They were everywhere! We sprayed and were able to keep them out of the motorhome, but they invaded our car too! We have been fighting them for over a week and they're still in the car! Be sure to spray your area as soon as you arrive!

We stayed three nights on our way down to Florida. We had a pretty flat site with plenty of privacy across the road from a bath house. Everything was nice as you would expect from a COE campground. Not a lot of things to do nearby which wasn’t a problem for us. The only issue we had were the ANTS !!! They are relentless ! We sprayed out contact points (except our ladder ) with a raid ant product. The second day there they greeted us when we got up. Ran to town for some comet to encircle our contact points. More ants throughout the day and night and another trip to a different town for ortho home defender. There must have been so many ants in our camper that they were still in the camper 8 days later. The Raid ant baits we got were useless. Once we arrived at home we bombed the camper and put out some terro ant baits.

Lawn service people came by while we were here as well as construction work which. beeping and rumbling could be heard and felt. Bathrooms didn't seem to be cleaned on regular basis as the same toilet was "dirty" for most of the 1 week we were here. Lots of traffic in and out of the camping area if you stay near the front.
