I am not sure why the campground was so empty, but we basically had the sloo to ourselves. With that, we had a very quiet and peaceful experience. Our usual go to for camping is hardridge creek. The campground is clean, as are the bathhouses. Very peaceful. The only thing I can think to improve would be to have a dog park so our dogs could run freely in an inclosed area.

Beautiful place on lake Eufaula. We stayed in site 39. Wonderful view! We rode our bikes around the park and it was neat and clean. The Camp Host was very kind and informative. Just beware of ANTS! I would pretreat your site before you even pull in it. Lesson learned.

What an amazing last minute long weekend! We LOVED this campground - it was quiet and peaceful. While here, there were only about 20 other campsites rented out. We were in site 44 and had an amazing view of the lake, but found we like site 30 better, so that's where we will be staying in the future! Yes, there were black ants all over, we just ran to Walmart and bought some bug spray and that seemed to fix the issue. I only saw maybe 5 ants total inside the camper. Already planning out trip for next spring!

It’s 08. Level site. Nice view of lake. The gravel around the table sticks to every shoe and gets tracked inside even with rugs. And lots of black fire ants! They got into my car but fortunately not the camper. Be prepared.

First time right on the open area of the lake. Lovely breeze that kept the August heat away!

10 is our second favorite site at Hardridge. However it is a busy and populated area during peak season.

Loved my 2 stays there over the past couple of months. I'm not a seasoned "camper", and my experiences with other campgrounds for comparison purposes are limited. That being said, I thought Hardridge was one of the nicest places I've stayed at, and I was very pleased with the accommodations. Big, clean, well equipped campsites with ample room between other campsite "neighbors." Awesome views of the lake. Very peaceful and relaxing. The Staff were very pleasant and helpful. I'm booking another 4 days at the beginning of August and am looking forward to my repeat stay.

The gps took us on a very indirect route, which was a bit treacherous. Also be aware that there are Argentine ants there. I didn’t realize until I saw them on the power cord. The space we had was very private and beautiful. I would go back another time, if we will be in that area.

The old Karen running Hardridge Creek Campground in Eufaula, AL is hands down the rudest, most unprofessional person I’ve ever dealt with at a campsite. Her attitude was aggressive, demanding, and completely out of line for someone working in hospitality. I rented the site for two days but walked away early just to avoid further interaction with her. It felt less like a getaway and more like being scolded by an angry, entitled hall monitor. Until she’s replaced, I will never return—and I’d strongly caution others to think twice before booking here.
