We really enjoyed our stay at Burchfield! We were in site 4 on our way out to Texas with our grandson. Although the site was a bit tight with slide-outs, the site was well worth the maneuvering! The view of the lake was absolutely beautiful!!! On our way back to Virginia, my wife and I were in site 7. My wife said it best…, “when you think about the ideal camping experience, this is what should come to mind…”! Thank you for a wonderful camping experience!! Doug & Jo Maume

We love Burchfield, it’s one of our go to places when we want to get away for the weekend. Host are friendly, bathrooms are pristine, and grounds are kept up.

Nice campground if you want to do nothing. Or, if you want to do what we did, which was use this campground as a place to decompress and clean up our camper after a 7-week road trip. No cell service, fyi. Not that we needed it, but not comfortable being unreachable by family.

Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. All the hosts we met were very friendly. We enjoyed our time very much. We didn't have cell service.

The campground was beautiful and the hosts were so nice. My son, my daughter, my granddaughter and myself caught some huge hybrids. The trip was wonderful!!

Campsite was clean. The park is well maintained even in late fall. The Corp of Engineers campsites are some of the best around.

Cozy COE campground. Sites are close but still private. Park was clean as were the bathrooms. 2 restroom facilities but only 1 with showers: 2 showers in each for M/F. The laundry was posted employees only. 2 play areas for children, no dog park, there is a 'beach' for swimming and of course a boat ramp. Absolutely no internet/WI-FI. Had to go 1.6 miles from site 2 to a obtain a signal to make a phone call and or text. Seems like this could be problematic if there was a medical emergency. Closest medical site is 35+ minutes away.
