What Guests Are Saying
Chilatchee Creek is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained campsites, and friendly hosts, particularly Kim, who is noted for her helpfulness. The campground offers a peaceful atmosphere with beautiful views and ample space for privacy, making it a hidden gem for campers. While access involves a mile-long dirt road and cell reception is poor, these factors do not detract significantly from the overall positive experience.

The biggest thing is the road to drive into the park. Even though it’s partly clay it’s still no wider than a 3 trail road. I’m not sure what you’re suppose to do if the meet someone either coming in or going out. Dave, the gate keeper, is a very nice man. And once you start talking to him he’s very friendly. I enjoyed his little dog ,Buddy. You know Dave’s making his rounds when you hear Buddy barking. Chilatchee Creek is a pretty park but until they fix the road we won’t be coming back.

Boat piers are in need of repair. There was a tree cut down laying across the path to one of the piers and host helped cut it up and remove. The grass is grown up on paths to piers and can’t access. The host is very helpful and weather was perfect!!! Had a lot of fun fishing and having fish fries with fellow campers. My favorite park even though work is needed.

The road leading into the park is very bad. It is the ONLY bad point of our trip. We had to leave a day early because we were afraid we could not get our RVs out because of the dirt road.
Once you get into the camp ground, it is excellent!!! The grounds are very well kept. The gate attendance is warm and welcoming. The view from the camp ground is beautiful.
This is one of my favorite campsites in dry weather.

The water views are beautiful. It is also a great place to ride bikes. The dirt road is no big deal at all. Only downside is the location. It's in the middle of nowhere.

We really enjoyed our stay at this quite secluded campground. Plenty of shade and the park attendants were nice. There are a few docks that you can fish off of and the park was clean. Nice little playground for the kids too. The bath house was a little outdated, but it was clean.
You have to drive about a mile down a dirt road to get to this campground and it is in the middle of nowhere. So be prepared to take everything you will be needing. The closest town is roughly 30-45 min away. You may want to be careful with pets too because we saw a 3 gators during our stay. They were small, but im sure there are larger ones around.
