What Guests Are Saying
Chilatchee Creek is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained campsites, and friendly hosts, particularly Kim, who is noted for her helpfulness. The campground offers a peaceful atmosphere with beautiful views and ample space for privacy, making it a hidden gem for campers. While access involves a mile-long dirt road and cell reception is poor, these factors do not detract significantly from the overall positive experience.

Very happy they have a laundry room!! With rainy weather and moving from one campground to another and , of course, small space for extra clothes in our rv this is a deal maker!!! Thank you.
Several other campgrounds have closed their laundry room because of laziness, opportunity to not have to provide the needed services to give extra sanitary protection to the camper. Boo to Fortland Campgrounds..it’s management choices to not reopen their laundry!!!

Loved the campground. It was raining very hard when we were coming in and my truck / camper was covered in mud! I won’t come back until someone paves the remaining entrance road.

Chilatchee Creek Park was a great experience. The area was quiet, green and fun. The only thing we didn't see was a dumping station for RVs. I recommend this park to anyone who likes being in nature and away from the everyday hustle and bustle.

What a wonderful hidden gem!! This was our last stop on a month long trip to the upper peninsula of Michigan. It was also our first Army COE experience. Beautiful park and facilities!! We were on the reservoir and the site was perfect!! Concrete pad and wonderful shade! Don’t let the remote drive to park worry you…although it was a concern as we arrived ~ we would absolutely stay here again!!!
