What Guests Are Saying
Corinth Recreation Area is a well-maintained and beautiful campground, offering large, private sites in a serene setting. Campers appreciate the cleanliness of the facilities, friendly staff, and the peaceful atmosphere, making it a favorite destination for relaxation. While some visitors noted the need for more showers and better phone access for emergencies, the overall experience remains highly positive, with many planning to return.

As always it is well kept, very clean and nice, staff are friendly. The only request I would make is to repair the old swimming area as it was in the 1980's where you could walk the trails from the campground, I have always noticed when we are camping no one is at the newer swimming area.
The beauty is still there and we still try to walk the old trails that holds such great memories and I do believe it would bring in even more people who like us remember when... And the newer swimming has pea gravel which hurt peoples feet and i think that is why they stopped comming to swim. I understand the problem wake boats can cause but just add a larger No Wake area to keep sand on beaches.
Camp hosts are great!!!

Kind of a partial review because this is our go to camping destination, but, we'll list the reasons why. Always clean. All of it. The sites, the showerhouses, the beach, the roadways, toilets, showers, overflow area, etc., etc. You can tell that the folks that maintain the place take a lot of pride in the appearance and overall maintenance of the entire recreation area, not just the camping areas. Staff is very easy to work with, polite, professional, and courteous. They have items on hand for sale that will cover the little forgotten things, i.e. beach towels, firewood, ice. As mentioned at the beginning of this review, this is now our got to place to camp. We have a 21' fish 'n' ski plus a 27' fifth wheel and there are numerous sites on Yellowhammer loop that are large enough to accommodate all of our toys. There is also an overflow area that is large enough for boats, vehicles, etc. We used to travel to Panama City or Gulf Shores but haven't been there in several years since finding this little jewel. Overall, for boating and camping, the best campground that we've found to stay. BTW, there is a GREAT grocery store 15 minutes from the campground, in Double Springs, that has the most amazing deli. Everything from salads that are always fresh to sandwiches to sides to dessert items. There are both historical and natural attractions nearby as well - Old Houston Jail, Oldest church in the state, Natural Bridge, etc. We have had nothing but pleasant experiences at Corinth and stay there at least 3 to 4 times each year. You absolutely can't go wrong with this campground!

Campground is amazing! We stayed on Yellowhammer loop, and the site was well leveled and the hookups were well maintained, including the sink with drain set into the ground for the sewer! Host was friendly and attentive to the campground itself. We will definitely stay here again.

Camp sites were very nice and spacious. Most in our group found the sites to be very level as well. The kids would have enjoyed some sort of playground, but made do with the trails. The play field was cut well. Had to watch for the ant hills and a few small holes. Overall I think we'll probably go back in the future.

The Corinth Recreation Area has a extreme tick infestation. I removed from one to three ticks every day of my stay. I've never experienced anything like that in my 65 years. Ever. I left from there 5 days early. Great host, Ken and Deb. Little too heavily wooded.
