Bluff Creek Campground receives high praise for its friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and beautiful natural surroundings, including the frequent sighting of deer. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the convenience of boat access, although some express concerns about noise from a nearby paper mill and the need for improved maintenance, especially regarding the boat ramp and site cleanliness. The park is spacious and very clean. It was a business trip but very relaxing. A few things I think that would make it better would be to cut the over hanging branches and if there was some way to have better internet service that would be wonderful.

Could hear the noise coming from a local sawmill that runs 24-7! Annoying.

It was a busy weekend but the check in process was well organized and efficient. The bathrooms were kept clean despite the crowds. The nearby packaging plant ran 24/7 but the noise wasn’t horrible.

Well, we got off to a rude start. There are two lanes coming in to the park. I read the sign and one side said for park passes. I have a golden access card. I want exactly sure if that's what it meant so I pulled in that lane with it 34' trailer. I got out and went to the window and was greeted by a grumpy man. I told him I was checking into a spot that I had reserved. He folded his arms and did nothing. He then told me I was supposed to come into the other lane. Keep in mind not one single car, truck, motorcycle or unicycle came in. There was nothing happening. (Like crickets nothing happening). I asked him if he actually wanted me to back out and move to the other lane. He said "yes". Really? All he needed to do was check me in and give me the tag for the window. But no I had to back the trailer up to move to the other unoccupied lane. I thought how stupid but did it anyway. Still not one car, truck, motorcycle or unicycle was anywhere to be seen. I went back to see Mr Grumpy and I checked in as normal which could've been done 10 minutes earlier.
We had a wonderful stay once we were there. Everything was excellent, loved the scenery and river.
We packed up and headed to the dump station. I hooked up the gray water and started dumping it. After about 30 seconds water started gushing out all over the ground. The holding tank was full. Thank God it wasn't the black water! I understand this wasn't really their fault. When I turned in my pass at the gate I told the woman that the tank was full she seemed to have zero concern about it. Pretty much a shrug of the shoulders.
One place I can check off as never going back to again. I can only hope these two volunteers aren't at the next place we go.

We agree with other reviewers - paper mill is very noisy. It depends on the wind direction as to how loud the mill is. A good description of the sound is like living near a large international airport with large jets taking off. Nice clean park and friendly staff.

The site was gorgeous and the bathrooms so clean! It would have been a perfect time, if we had been made aware that you can hear the mill.... ALL NIGHT LONG we heard trucks backing up, dumping their loads, and then what I assume was breaking down the logs since it was a timber products mill. Part of our favorite thing about tent camping is listening to all the buggy night sounds as we drift off to sleep. Definitely don't happen on this trip.
