This is an absolutely gorgeous forested campground! It’s clean with excellent space between sites! The camp hosts are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The road in the campground is paved, as are the RV spots. It’s near Sunset Crater Volcano, so has some interesting and out-of-the-ordinary topography. The bathrooms have flush toilets with great soap and paper towels at the sink. It’s the little things sometimes! There is almost no cell phone coverage; a text or notification came through randomly. The only thing we didn’t love was that when backing into our site, the door and awning were on the opposite side of our campsite table and fire pit.

Sites are well spaced with a grill and firepit at each site. Flush toilets a plus.

Great hosts! Trail closures and pet restrictions on trails not so good. Stunning place, I would revisit.

A great campground with amazing views and friendly host. With 9 days in AZ, all staying at campgrounds, this was the best!!!
