We've been camping at this campground for about 40 years! It's always clean and fresh! And, the hosts have always been outstanding as well!
Happy the fire missed it a while back and look forward to another stay next season!

Quiet. Dark sky. Lots of space between sites. Just one of our favorite places to go to recoup!

The camp, including the bathrooms were immaculate. The other campers were very quiet during the day and honored the quiet hours at night. Frank and Sandy, our hosts, were friendly and informative giving us suggestions for activities. Awesome star gazing! I haven't seen the milky way in a while. I just leaned back in my camp chair and took in as much as I could.
Things we did:
We hiked the Lava’s Edge Trail. Amazing scenery. Couldn't help but wonder what it must have been like when when that mountain blew and all that lava went everywhere!
We walked around the Wupatki National Monument. Fascinating walking among the remnants of early civilizations, imagining what their lives might have been like.
We hiked down and around Walnut Canyon. Another fascinating walk into the remnants of an early civilization.
Next time we make plans for the Flagstaff area we would definitely stay here again.
