Camp hosts were hard working.

This location is absolutely fantastic. Dramatic views of the canyon, wonderful historic lodge, majestic ponderosa pines, low crowd levels, and refreshingly cooler than the surrounding desert landscapes. A short and amazing hike from the campground to the lodge along the Transept Trail was the perfect start to the day. Breakfast and coffee at the lodge were amazing, and the staff were even better. I hope that I'll be back one day.

We truly enjoyed this remote campground right on the rim - you can go hike right from there, or just take in the awesome scenery. I am sure know there are no hook-up on site. There are communal water spigots scattered throughout. The staff was just perfect. There are tall trees and there is plenty of shade. Just an incredible nature experience. No we have a 37 feet class A motorhome, and despite warnings of low tree canopies we felt is was just fine, but I think we were the largest RV there. Many sites accommodate only smaller units, although there is, in most cases, room to spare. We did not use public restrooms, so I cannot speak about those, but everything looked sparkly clean. We, like almost everyone who had one, used our generator sparingly within times allowed because we had to recharge batteries that run our fridge, but it almost made you feel guilty disturbing this pristine nature spot. Everyone is very considerate about their neighbors, you will find nature lovers, hikers... The North Rim Lodge is a short walk/hike away and has a stunning sun deck. As we were on the more "touristy" south side before, it is quite out of the way - but I am glad we came. It is a different experience - much more in tune with nature and minus the crowds. I am glad we made reservations, and you should as well to ensure your long drive was for nothing because the campground is full.

This was a great campground! So peaceful to see the Grand Canyon from the North. The showers were not reliable, but they did refund us when two of our four showers only trickled out water. I would recommend the North Rim over the South all the time.

Beyond disappointed. This was my 6th trip to the North Rim Campground. Booked 4 nights but left after only 1. Bathroom near my campsite, out of order. Water spigot near my campsite, out of order. Showers working but cold water only, so basically out of order as well. If fact, I had to tell staff what time the shower rooms closed as they seemed to have no idea. This was my favorite campground anywhere; now doubtful I will ever go back....

Great place for camping and hiking. Beautiful location, cell service limited , I have Verizon , it works but only in certain locations. I would give it 5 stars ⭐️ if it wasn’t for the bathroom that is out of commission for 3 years now .

Great campsite. It was very large, and could easily fit 5-6 tents. The bathrooms were clean, and the local store was very convenient.

We were in tent site 02, and it was perfect, not crowded at all, never saw a camp host, the restrooms were clean and everybody was nice .
The weather was perfect, we were there the later part of June.

Beautiful campground, very tidy. The camphost was nice enough to loan me a ladder to fix our awning on the trailer. The rim trail is very close to the campsites and the fuel prices were great, way lower than Jacob's Lake. We will for sure be coming here again. Watching the pine trees sway from the wind was awesome.
