The north rim is beautiful. Unfortunately for RV’s longer than 22ft exploring the Grand Canyon is difficult as you are not allowed to park or drive in most places. Also up to now there is no shuttle bus driving into the scenic road.
Therefore, people with an RV longer than 22 ft should better visit the south rim.

We hadden een prachtige plek aan de rand van de Canyon met onze camper. "s avonds een schitterende sterrenhemel.

I have camped at the north rim 6 out of the last 8 years. It is always special to spend time there with family. The family and I always head to the lodge for a meal. The meal we shared together there this year was wonderfull and greatly enjoyed by all of us.
We have noticed sadly that the availibilty of some foods at the camp ground store has declined over the years. the selection becoming more and more limited.

We had some car trouble en route and were going to be a day late for a 5 night campground stay. The North Rim site threatened if we didn't check in by 8am the day following our planned arrival they would release of sites. Sites we had paid for 6 months earlier. There was no way to contact anyone at the campground, or the North Rim other than a sympathetic restaurant host at the lodge. None of the other numbers we found ever were answered, and there was no voice mail setup on any of the 5 separate numbers I called. Needless to say I was very worried my family would have no place to stay upon arriving. Fortunately our site were still there. Moreover the camp host (Bill?) and the check-in ranger (Steve) couldn't have been nicer. The woman running the camp store was a delight as well, however the store was very poorly stocked other than beer, chips, candy and pre-made sandwiches of suspect quality. A mixed experience overall.

Great campsite. Lots of trees, right near the bathroom, and water. Very close to the transept trail

Wonderful and quiet campground with beautiful views just a step away. The North Rim lodge is a 30 min hike away. The general store is good, with plenty supplies but bad WIFI. Showers and laundry in walking distance. Several hikes close by, but usually a short drive makes them more accessible as the trailhead are further out. Overal an awesome experience!

The camp staff did an excellent job of monitoring activities, gently enforcing rules, and keeping sites and bathrooms clean.

This campground is amazing. Plenty of space and plenty of bathrooms (which were clean). This specific site was pretty incredible being right on the edge of the Grand Canyon. The only negative we had was that this site was sloped, making using a tent not as ideal. We had lots of rain the first night and there was too much water running through the site. Overall, I would not recommend this site for only tent camping. Good thing there are plenty of other great sites throughout.
