This was a great site, period. Seconds away from the trailhead, friendly and helpful staff, and overall a great experience. I’m coming back as soon as I can, and I’m telling everyone I know to camp here as well.

North Rim Campground was great for us. The General Store is super convenient and has a lot of nice supplies and snacks, frozen food options, some gifts/souvenirs, and also some medical things like bandaids. It's also right next to the Transept trail, so it's easy to walk five minutes to an immediate canyon view.
On our recent trip, we visited campgrounds at three national parks, and this was probably my favorite of the three.

Great, but next-door camper ran generator possibly past the official time. Not terrible, but I prefer quiet.

Nice, wooded sites that are somewhat close together. Stayed in one of the tent only sites that are "walk-in" but really are about 25-30' from the designated parking spots. The biggest drawback is that those site's bathroom is closed as is the water source, so it is a hike to a real bathroom and spigot. In addition, the elevated pit toilet that they have for this site was almost completely full.

A good, shaded site near all facilites. Clean bathrsooms and showers. It's great to hang around next to the fire in the evenings. Some phone signal available, but spotty.
