What Guests Are Saying
Mogollon Campground receives high praise for its friendly and attentive hosts, well-maintained facilities, and convenient location near scenic trails and Woods Canyon Lake. Campers appreciate the clean bathrooms, spacious sites, and the peaceful atmosphere, especially during the week. Some minor concerns include rocky ground making tent setup challenging and occasional noise from nearby roads and other campers, but overall, visitors express a strong desire to return.

The camp ground is very well maintained. The host is very pleasant, and and makes sure everyone is doing ok. There are trails that will lead you to awesome views from the rim.

We booked two nights on Mogollon Rim. We checked fire restrictions prior to arriving at they were at a level 1, which was fine. Around 7-8 the first night we were told we had to put the fire out due to the camp master having a family emergency, but we would be able to have a fire the next day because there would be coverage (just possibly not over night again). We made a fire the next morning around 7 AM, but by 9 AM another person (this time a lady) came through advising us that there was a level two restriction and we could not have a fire. However, we now see that the level two did not even get ordered until June 11, 2021, which was days after our booking. Just didnβt appreciate being told one thing but another happening. We had children that were looking forward to sitting around the campfire as this was all their first times camping. We noticed after we were told to put fires out several other campsites also packed up and left shortly after.

The campsite is too close to the washboard road with busy traffic which bring out all the dirt that made the air turn brown. We expected to have fresh pure air while camping but all we breathed in was dirt. The toilet pit was a horrible experience. The bad smell from the toilet together with non stoping dirt air brought our family the worst ever camping trip. We booked 3 night but couldn't stay more than 2 nights.
