What Guests Are Saying
Ponderosa Campground offers beautiful, spacious sites surrounded by tall pines, making it a favorite for many campers. The hosts are friendly and maintain the campground well, ensuring clean facilities and a pleasant experience. However, some sites experience noise from the nearby highway, and concerns about tree removal for maintenance could impact future visits.

The campground overall is lovely-thick trees lend to plenty of privacy. The cons: bathrooms were well due to be pumped. We’re not just talking smelly, ammonia/methane stench made it hard to be in there more than a few seconds, road noise is heard from the fwy, although it’s minimal. Bees. Wasps. Yellow jackets. Bring traps. They were intense, and they sneak into the camper every time you open the door. We had to shoo out at least 4 or 5 throughout our stay!! Lastly, although the hosts were polite, it is a bit much coming into the camp and settling in/making herself comfortable while giving her “rules” presentation at dinner or in the middle of camp set up-just give us the packet & our privacy. I think people can read it themselves. Despite the cons it’s still a nice spot!

We visited during the week, so campground was fairly empty. Camp sites were well maintained and bathrooms and dumpsters close by. Parking was on level ground. There was some highway noise but it was minimal. Beautiful spot.

Very narrow concrete pad to back our 24 foot motor home onto. The pad had about a 3-4 inch drop off to dirt, so you have to be careful stepping out of your unit. The campground itself was clean and quiet. The bathrooms smelled awful from outside. Unfortunately, we had a bathroom directly across from our site, so we couldn’t open our windows without the smell.
