What Guests Are Saying
Ponderosa Campground is praised for its cleanliness, friendly hosts, and spacious, well-maintained sites, making it a favorite for many campers. Families enjoyed the layout of Group Site E, and amenities like clean bathrooms and convenient trash disposal were highlighted positively. However, concerns were raised about tree removal plans affecting the campground's appeal and some noise disturbances from nearby highways and other campers.

We stayed the first weekend in October and all the sites were so over grown, pine cones and pine needles everywhere. All the bathrooms were nasty i mean id rather chance a tick on my butt by going in the woods then the poop covered fly invested no TP bathrooms.

Ponderosa Campground has been a favorite spot for years. It is maintained with great amenities. I also like that it is fairly close to Star Valley / Payson.

So we booked site A-11 because it said this location would allow a 21 ft trailer. Unfortunately site provided no pictures of actual pad. After 4 hour drive and arrival we find the site will not fit a trailer. We were forced to abandon reservation. With no cell service in this area, we couldn't cancel reservation either. This campsite is in very poor condition

Site next to us partied until 2:00 am just outside our bedroom
Drinking kids screaming and loud voices
Several tents and people over the limit of the site
They did not follow the quiet times or check in and out times
No one checked out the sites from the park for noise or issues

Great service and easy to find spot. Campground is pretty big with water and restrooms.

I liked our spot. It was pretty easy to back in. The area was clean and litter free. Initially, the bathroom was clean, but by Saturday night, we were out of toilet paper.

The camp hoster were very friendly and helpful. They did a great job of maintaining the toilets and communicating with campers.

We stayed at A10 and A11. Very good spot, close to the bathrooms. There was some noise from the freeway, but honestly not enough to Notice. I’ve stayed at Ponderosa many times and any of the spots are pretty good! The camp hosts are very nice! Highly recommend

Ponderosa is an amazing campground. Unfortunately the government is trying to destroy it's beauty by cutting down a vast majority of the trees there. I agree with thinning forests to reduce the risk of wild fires, but the number of trees marked for removal is horrific. Please, stop this terrible plan.
