What Guests Are Saying
Ponderosa Campground is praised for its cleanliness, friendly hosts, and spacious, well-maintained sites, making it a favorite for many campers. Families enjoyed the layout of Group Site E, and amenities like clean bathrooms and convenient trash disposal were highlighted positively. However, concerns were raised about tree removal plans affecting the campground's appeal and some noise disturbances from nearby highways and other campers.

The camp host was ridiculous. We arrived, had our reservation and proceeded to our spot. Halfway to our spot she ran out of a restroom she was cleaning and began yelling at us that we were supposed to stop at her host rigfirst. It did not say that anywhere, and even if it did, she would not have been there! Condescending and rude!! Also the d7mp was “closed for true season” in August!!! Likely will not be back.

The spots are nicely spread out so you don’t feel like you’re right on top of your neighbors. Our only issue was the bathrooms, they are just permanent port a potty’s. Very extremely smelly, no light, no sink. Everyone waited to use them until we were going to burst. Worth investing in a portable potty so we don’t have to use them next time.

We have stayed at this park many times over the years; unfortunately, at each stay, we see the park in worse shape. I hope that this trend can be reversed because the location is beautiful, quiet and tranquil. On our last trip, the potable water fill and dump station were closed. The RV pads are getting smaller due to crumbling around the edges.

It was a quiet time all around, generous plot for camping and a fire. It was also nice to have an animal proof locker at the site. The camp hosts were friendly and inviting. Will stay here again for sure.

Plenty of trees and shade. Clean campsite with several flat areas for tents. Paved parking spot was a little narrow for our trailer. Several permapottys within short walking distance.

The campground was beautiful and well kept. Upon entering you stop at the campground master site and let them know where your staying. When arriving to my spot it was clean. Only complaint is the Highway noise but that is unchangeable, at least it keeps the bears away.
