What Guests Are Saying
Ponderosa Campground is praised for its cleanliness, friendly hosts, and spacious, well-maintained sites, making it a favorite for many campers. Families enjoyed the layout of Group Site E, and amenities like clean bathrooms and convenient trash disposal were highlighted positively. However, concerns were raised about tree removal plans affecting the campground's appeal and some noise disturbances from nearby highways and other campers.

Bathrooms were kept clean. Nice cool area and sites were well spread out. I could definitely hear the cars at my site but the sites that were farther away were pretty quiet. Highly recommend!

Sad that the dump station is closed this year

Dump station is closed for the season? It’s May. The camp hosts never drove around or ensured sites were clean; barely saw them

Great spot. A little close to the main road for my liking (you can hear traffic) - but for a short getaway from Phoenix, nice easy place to escape to!

Never knew how nice this particular campground was and would most assuredly repeat.

Clean bathrooms. Plenty of wood. We stayed at site D-05 which was sloped so it was hard to find a flat space for a tent. (We did manage though!) A lot of the sites were private and very spaced out - so nice and quiet. Would recommend.

This is a really nice campground. This space was fairly close to the space to the right, but wide open to the left and behind, so plenty of room to spread out. Most of the spaces looked big and roomy. Lots of trees for shade and privacy. The pad is narrow for parking an RV and the step off is steep, my husband had to find a stump for me to step onto, so I didn't wipe out trying to get out of our RV.

Park and facilities were very clean. Camp hosts were pleasant and helpful.
Sites are very well spaced with lots of trees. Parking pads can be a little on the short side, so I would not recommend anything 30ft or over.
Otherwise, a very nice place that I would visit again.
