What Guests Are Saying
Alto Pit OHV Campground offers a safe and clean environment with a courteous host who is helpful and ensures the area is well-maintained. Many visitors appreciate the campground's beautiful scenery, accessibility, and suitability for various outdoor activities such as ATV riding and biking. However, some guests have noted issues with noise from nearby roads and OHVs, as well as occasional cleanliness problems with trash and bathrooms. Overall, it is a great spot for camping and enjoying nature, particularly for those who enjoy off-road activities.

Bathrooms are very clean, for the most part the ohv'ers are respectful of the campers, quite a pleasant place

Great camping area. Close to town, Walmart, etc.
If you’re looking for deep wilderness camping this is not the place. But it’s a nice campground that is very well maintained.

Very nice area the host was nice kind of strict but nice. Definitely will be camping here again. Some of the campsites look a little tight, but we stayed at campsite three and it was plenty big enough for our family of six. The campsite was a double I guess. Cool riding trails as well. Very nice beginner area for my little ones.

So disappointed in our stay here. From all the advertising for this campground we were excited that we could ride our UTV’s from our campsite. But when we went to ride we were sad to find out that this was a motocross campground. No where in the online of recreation.gov was this mentioned. We booked for two nights, the evening we arrived and the next evening after we rode but unfortunately we couldn’t ride at all so we left the campground after just one night. So disappointed in how this campground is advertised.
The campground “host” was no help to us. When we went to talk to him about maybe where could ride in the area, he was clueless. Bathrooms were filthy and garbage dumpsters were locked. Everyone just piled up garbage near the dumpster.
I would not recommend this campground to any person riding a UTV.

We loved our stay at Alto Pit OHV Campground. We had a nice pull-through site that was somewhat secluded. While we visited, we drove up to Cottonwood, Sedona and the Grand Canyon. In Prescott, the lakes are very nice. We would definitely return if in the area again.

our experience is limited to a reservation site only. We had reservation for site #6 for 4 nights but when we got there about 3 pm there, the site was already occupied. We contacted the site camp manager and what we heard was "I told him he has to leave today" and "he is gone now for the day".
Not sure what was going on in that campsite and the rest of sites were very uneven and unmarked if the were occupied/open/FCFS, etc, we left the campground and headed to White Spar and had a very good luck there
