Hilltop Campground is praised for its cleanliness, beautiful scenery, and well-maintained facilities, with many visitors appreciating the friendly camp host. Most sites offer a peaceful experience in a forested setting, with some campers noting the convenience of nearby water and trash disposal. However, a few reviews mention issues with bathroom cleanliness and site privacy, as well as occasional miscommunication regarding reservations. Overall, it remains a favorite destination for many campers.

I liked the campsites, they were all unique and private. My only complaint was that there were a ton of ants; fly's and even fleas. And it did not appear that anyone does a walk through after each person leaves. Trash, cigarette butts..... We picked up a lot of trash that looked like it had been there a while.

Our site did not have shade during the hottest parts of the day. The restrooms were filthy!
It seems most campsite are designed for tents so you have to go up and down stairs from your site area to your camper/trailer.
So disappointed as Lynx Lake is one of our favorite places to camp.

Camp host never came to talk to us. I rarely saw him. bathroom is only cleaned three days a week, and we ran out of toilet paper on Saturday evening.

The camp area is nice, we have camped here before. We reserved and stayed at two sites this time: 25 and 26. One was great and tucked into the trees, our tent had shade in the afternoons. The other was open with little shade but on the edge of the campground area so we saw some wildlife. The bathroom had a sign that it is only cleaned 3 days a week. They are vault toilets, so get really stinky when it's hot. Also had portable water and was close to the lake, and an easy hike away. Always research fire restrictions before visiting. Luckily, I camp often so checked prior to leaving. I like to double check with the camp host but he never came by to talked to us. Saturday evening we ran out of toilet paper. I always carry extra as we camp a lot. The camp host never came and spoke to us, and we rarely saw him; this really bothered me. To me the camp host is the most important; they update you on fire restrictions, sell wood if needed, explain rules, and any possible wildlife warnings. We are avid campers and also like to ask about highlights to check out in the area. There was a camper across the way from us who let his dog run loose, and I have two dogs who I tie to trees every time as the one is a rescue and would run away to never return. Our dogs always sleep in the tent with us, but it was stressful for me as I always had to worry about where the other dog was and making sure it didn't come too close to my dogs.

We were there on Memorial Day weekend, so had to reserve several months in advance to assure a campsite. Pit toilets were acceptable but could have been attended to a little more frequently. Over all, not bad. Will go again.

Nicely maintained campground. Restrooms were super clean and there was no bad smell at all even though it has compost toilets. I enjoyed my time here and in the nearby Lynx lake. It is a few minutes away from Costco and the very busy Main road, but since it is covered with trees the campground seems really private. I will definitely return.
