We will never camp at Hilltop in April again. It was so cold in the mornings and it got so windy some days, we thought we would lose our dining canopy and trailer awning. We had some rain, but the wind was the worst. We could only have a campfire a few evenings. We actually went home a day early to thaw out.

We reserved site for the 21st
Could not reserve for the 22 and 23 said FF first come first serve.
We went the hill top and when we got there the 22 and 23 was reserved? Camp host said they have had issues, but nothing he could do.
Not happy and we called, no one returned our call

I have been tent camping at this location for , at least, the past 10 years. I always enjoy my time here. Warren and Judy, the camp Hosts are always very friendly and helpful. The place was much busier this time around. Looking forward to coming back later this Summer.

Best camping this season . The camp host was just wonderful and the sites were spaced to allow a sense of privacy in the woods ! Had a memorable experience .

This was our third trip to this campground, and it was as great as ever. Love the relatively secluded sites and how well the camp host tends the place.

We did not get to experience the actual campground as our spot was double booked. The host was able to put us in the group campground as it was closed currently. The group grounds were good and glad they were able to get us a spot. It would have been horrible to try to find another spot or just head back home

Campsites are separated by trees nicely for privacy.
You may want to bring a shade tarp as not all sites provide midday shade.
Nice trails and a pretty lake.

We stayed in site 33 with a 30ft 5th wheel. Please note that this is PARALLEL parking spot where you're parked on the side of the/kind of in the road where other campers are driving thru. When you look at the satellite image of the camp spot, it appears you have a nice shoulder to pull into, but there are several sturdy concrete bollards preventing parking in the campsite, so you just park in the road. The camp area is spacious and if you're tent camping, this site is huge and great for cornhole and large groups. Space 33 has little to no shade until late afternoon and full sun in the am (plan to wake up with the sun). If you're RV camping, like us, please note that your picnic tables, fire ring, etc are about 70 feet away from your camper with a few wooden stairs to get there. The spot is sloped, hard to level a 40ft rig in this spot. The campground overall is beautiful, spacious & spread-out camps, and has nice rolling hills roads, which made skateboarding & bicycling super fun. It's an easy drive from the valley, there's nearby trails, gold panning, Lynx Lake, and Costco! I've learned a lot on this trip and now I know to look for (and avoid) reserving parallel street parking spots. Happy camping, y'all!
